We are looking for confident, engaging, passionate people to help to not only deliver training for individuals living in poverty but also to staff members from those organisations that support them. Over the next 6 months, we are working towards developing our long-term training programme for volunteers to become a certified Tackling Period Poverty Lead. Which will include getting first-hand experience working with vulnerable people and being observed leading your own workshops or one-to-one support.
The development of this programme has taken commitment and relationship building over the past 2.5 years, we are now looking for passionate ‘super organisers’ who can work behind the scenes to create an amazing experience for those attending our workshops, training or being offered the opportunity to become a period-friendly organisation. We are wanting to administer a strong training programme for our Tackling Period Poverty facilitators and alongside this need to build a strong support team to help deliver an exceptional service.
We are looking for someone with some time to give to help process our accounts, all of the day to day activity through our banking, Paypal and expenses. Ideally, we would like someone to process this on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly system, to reduce back-logs and help us keep up-to-date with our current financial status.
We’re looking for someone who is systematic, efficient and organised. Ideally with some experience but this is not completely necessary as training can be provided.
Our fundraising team is headed by our Director of Fundraising and development, who has put together a fundraising strategy. Your role will be to help put this strategy into action. We are looking for support from a person keen to gain experience in the fundraising world, preferably who has some experience of grant bodies and what is available and how to approach donors but who also can be creative in starting fundraising campaigns.
Your role will be to liaise with the university including different societies and departments for example the sustainability department and get more sustainable sanitary products on their radar and help us raise funds to help tackle period poverty. There are a number of different ways this can be done: fundraising events, period parties, educational talks and workshops, getting products stocked in university shops and hosting stalls at university events/markets.

This job description will show you what we expect of an advisor and how we hope to engage with you.
